Pirates and Treasure is a game of mini-games. The mini-games are all part of a story, which progresses as the games are beaten. There are five mini-games in the story, and a sixth bonus game which is unlocked at the end.

All of the mini-games are taken from other games, and most will seem familiar. The first game is a timed version of the card game memory. The cards have a pirates theme, but the game is pretty standard. Next is a mouse maze, in which a ship follows the cursor. In the next game, you must rotate a turtle to block arrows. In the next, you repeat a song back to a parrot one note at a time. The last game has you press arrow keys as they cross into a square. After beating the game, you are given the secret word, ‘parrot’, that lets you access all the games from a menu, and access a 9 piece puzzle of a parrot.

Between all these games, there are some interesting cut scenes. The graphics in the game are good, especially the cut scenes. The sound is also good, though some levels might have been better with music than ocean sounds.

The problem with Pirates and Treasure is that the mini-games just aren’t that fun. While it might be worth playing through once to see the story, none of the games have any real replay value. The game can be beaten in about ten minutes, not worth playing for longer than that.

At first glance, 13 days in hell appears to be quite impressive. The game has a neat occult feel to it, the menus have a 3d book as a back drop, and the game starts by having you sign the ’13 days challenge pact’. Sadly, after a few rounds, the game play starts to get highly repetitive, and what you are left with is a highly-polished, but highly mediocre game.

Escaping Paris 2 is a very short, very simple little game in which you help Paris Hilton escape from jail. The controls are very simple, and all items are used automatically.

Fratboy House Wars is a worms-like game, in which you lob books, kegs, dogs, rockets and what might be beer bottles at an adjacent frat house. If you like worms, or scorched earth, you’ll probably like it – and if you do decide to play it, make sure you click the cat in the forth level!
